PA12 specimen tensile modulus (ASTM D638 Type 1)
What powder sintering offers
Modulus describes a specimen, not hole accuracy. Deflection depends on cross-section, length, support and force. Fixture assessment also covers datums, clamping, sleeve clearances and wear; fit is checked at the workstation.

No fine print
- Guide sleeves for the drill must be steel. We design templates for inserts, not instead of them.
- We cannot replace force-transmitting cutting fixtures or hydraulic clamping.
- PA12 specimen HDT of 87 °C at 1.8 MPa does not establish fixture service temperature. State temperature at the part, forces and exposure duration.
- Larger jigs require orientation or split assessment. Joints and spacing inspection are designed for specific datums; splitting does not guarantee accuracy.
How your project moves forward
- Model or sketchState units, datums, spacing and tolerances. Photos help assess required measurements.
- Printing and preparationThe calculator estimates PA12 printing from geometry. Modelling and inserts have separate quoted scope.
- Workstation trialTrial-part, sleeve inspection and adjustment scope are confirmed before work.
- Selected setConfirm quantities after the fit check. Build layout and timing are checked for models and variants.
What the quotation covers
Fixtures are quoted from the model. SLS quantity discounts: 100 parts: −5%, 500 parts: −8%, 1,000 parts: −10%. The order minimum and file preparation are spread over the ordered quantity.

What to prepare for a quote
Part and datums
Model or drawing, units, operation and inspection dimensions. Mark datums, contact surfaces, spacing and tolerances; photos help assess measurement scope.
Supports and sleeves
Clamping, forces, supports and clearances. State steel sleeve or insert type and dimensions, replacement access and wear-inspection plan.
Trial and set
Temperature at the fixture, duration, quantities and date. Identify workstation assessment criteria. Modelling, inserts and adjustment scope are agreed in the quote.
Send what you have. We will clarify the remaining details when reviewing your enquiry.
How to order
I have a 3D model
Upload your model and choose the parameters. SLS and FDM prices are indicative; an engineer quotes SLA.

Attach photos with a ruler or a drawing. Describe the application; model preparation is quoted separately.
Describe the fixture and clampingFrequently asked questions
How long will such a template last?
Service life depends on load, friction and cycle count. Where the fixture rubs against metal, we design replaceable inserts. Test a sample at the workstation before a series.
Can you make a gripper for a robot?
Send arm documentation, interface, forces and cycle conditions. The integrator assesses the assembly with inserts and held part. The automation page describes fingers and covers; we do not make safety-system components.
Why not print this on FDM locally?
Assess FDM and SLS from geometry, forces, temperature and fit requirements. SLS needs no printed supports. Both processes build layers; orientation and trial assembly are confirmed for the fixture without a universal advantage.
Can fixtures be marked with station numbers?
Yes, a number can be part of the geometry. State text, position and size; we assess post-print legibility and file-change scope. Preparing the marking is included in the agreed quotation.
Does coloring make sense here?
Colour can identify a variant or workstation. Dyeing starts at 20 parts with an individual quote; colour and shade are confirmed on a sample. Identify fits to inspect after finishing.
Can a printed gauge be used for dimensional acceptance?
State the dimension, tolerance, datums and use method. TDS modulus does not establish gauge accuracy. Measurement and comparison with an agreed reference are scoped before work; we do not issue calibration certificates.
