> DEEP_DYEING ... 8 COLORS
Dyeing PA12 parts
Dye enters the sintered surface. We choose the shade for the base material and review a dyed sample.
8 available colours. Screen swatches are illustrative.
Quote preset: 20 parts, PA12, dyeing. You can change the quantity in the calculator.

Three ways to get a colored part
How deep the dye penetrates
Painting
Top coating
Paint forms a layer with its own thickness. It can affect fit and hide fine detail; edge resistance depends on the coating, preparation and use.
Dyeing offered by Xometry
0.25 mm deep
The published depth describes that supplier’s process. It does not establish our dye penetration; abrasion or machining of a dyed part can expose a different shade.
Deep dyeing
In the material pores
Dye enters the sintered surface without adding a paint layer. We do not guarantee unchanged dimensions or abrasion resistance; critical fits and operating conditions are agreed before finishing.
We do not publish our penetration depth without a cross-section measurement. The linked source describes another supplier’s process: Xometry Europe.
How dyeing proceeds
Four steps after printing
01 · FUSE BLAST
Cleaning
The SLS printed part goes to automatic depowdering.
02 · BATH
Dye bath
Dye penetrates open nylon pores in a heated bath. The cycle lasts one hour.
03 · STABILIZATION
Rinsing and drying
Parts are rinsed and dried before colour inspection. Critical dimensions are assessed after finishing.
04 · QC
Quality control
Assessment of color uniformity across the entire batch before shipment.
Cleaning, the dye bath, drying and inspection are stages of the order. We confirm the schedule for the part, colour and agreed sample; cycle time alone does not determine dispatch.

Manufacturer specifications
The manufacturer lists SLS/MJF PA12 and resin parts. Our offer covers PA12; a different base needs individual assessment.

All eight colours are available. Quotation with dyeing starts at 20 parts. Send a Pantone / RAL reference for shade selection; we confirm a physical sample rather than a match to a screen preview.
Screen colours are illustrative because a monitor cannot reproduce the matt, grainy surface of sintered parts. Before a series, we agree a dyed material sample as the shade reference.

7 questions
Which materials does the dyeing service cover?
Our service covers PA12 after SLS printing. The equipment manufacturer also lists other polymer and resin parts, but we assess other base materials separately. Tell us the material, quantity and surface requirements in your enquiry.
PA12 datasheetWhich colours are available?
Currently available: industrial black, crimson, green, blue, violet, orange, yellow, turquoise. Screen colours are illustrative; the base material and finishing affect the result. We agree the shade on a physical sample.
View the palette and availabilityWhat is the minimum quantity for printing with dyeing?
Quotation for printing with dyeing starts at 20 parts. The calculator opens with PA12 and dyeing preferences, which you can edit. A technologist will confirm the price, available shade and lead time for the order.
Quote printing with dyeingWill dyeing change the part fit?
Dyeing does not add a paint coating, but unchanged dimensions are not guaranteed. Identify mounting surfaces, critical dimensions and required fits. We agree finishing scope, a sample and measurement conditions before a series.
Describe the required fitsIs the colour resistant to abrasion?
We do not specify finished-part abrasion resistance without assessment. Describe use, contact with other components, cleaning agents and temperature. Abrasion or machining may expose a different shade; we do not publish our dye penetration depth without a cross-section measurement.
Tell us the working conditionsDoes the one-hour cycle mean same-day dispatch?
No. The equipment bath cycle takes 1 h. An order also includes printing, cleaning, drying and inspection. We confirm the lead time for the specific part and agreed sample; bath duration alone does not determine it.

How can I request a quote without a model?
Describe the application, approximate dimensions, quantity, colour reference and critical fits. You can attach photos or a drawing. The form retains PA12 and dyeing as preferences; any model preparation is agreed and quoted separately.
