171 °C
HDT PA12 at 0.45 MPa, ASTM D648
Why SLS for this part
171 °C is the HDT test result at the lower stress of 0.45 MPa, not a car interior part's service temperature. At 1.8 MPa the result is 87 °C. We ask about temperature, exposure time, load and mounting.
PA12 Material Data SheetWhat this process cannot do here
No fine print
- We do not manufacture safety-critical parts: brakes, steering wheels, suspension, seatbelts, airbags.
- We do not manufacture anything with homologation, including exterior lighting.
- We do not reproduce the manufacturer's logos. Geometry yes, trademark no.
- We do not manufacture under-hood parts operating above 87 °C under load.
- We do not make visual variants styled after the original as repair parts.
- The surface is matte and grainy; it must be prepared before painting.
How your project moves forward
- Photos or the partSend four views with a ruler. The original clip is preferable, even if broken.
- Quote within 24 business hoursGeometry reconstruction and printing appear as separate items in the quote.
- Trial partTest one part in the car before we make the complete set.
- One build for the setWe check whether the complete set of clips for one car can share a build.
What the quotation covers
Geometry reconstruction and printing are quoted separately. A single clip for a private customer is quoted from photos. For a complete set for one car, we check whether the parts can share a build.

3D Scanning · EinScan Rigil
We measure worn parts instead of guessing
Photographs with a ruler help assess scope. Simple dimensions can be measured manually; we consider scanning for free-form surfaces. Wear is recorded as the part's condition; reconstruction dimensions are agreed separately.

- PLN 250.00
Manufacturer's Laser HD data; not a measurement of your part or a printed-part tolerance.
What remains with you
- MeshRecords accessible surfaces in their current condition, including wear. A mesh can be edited, but has no operation history or dimensions from a parametric CAD model.
- Solid modelReconstructs geometry using scans, measurements and available documentation. We agree critical dimensions and assumptions; a parametric model is created where possible.
- Deviation reportComparison with supplied CAD: a deviation map on scanned surfaces and agreed sections. We agree inspection scope and alignment datums before work; unseen areas remain outside measurement.
What to prepare for a quote
Part and car
Car model and year, part photos and mounting location. Mark missing or worn areas.
Mounting
Hole spacing, clips and mating surfaces. Photos with a ruler help assess reproduction scope.
Temperature and appearance
Temperature at the part, heat exposure time and load. State any painting plans and the quantity.
Send what you have. We will clarify the remaining details when reviewing your enquiry.
How to order
I need a model
Attach photos with a ruler or a drawing. Describe the application; model preparation is quoted separately.
Send photos and a descriptionI have a 3D model
Upload your model and choose the parameters. SLS and FDM prices are indicative; an engineer quotes SLA.
Quote the part from a modelFrequently asked questions
I have one cracked clip. Is that enough?
Yes, even in fragments. Please send all pieces, as we reconstruct the lock from what remains.
Can you reproduce a part protected by a registered design?
Reproduction depends on rights in the part. The repair clause concerns certain design rights; it is not a general licence to copy and does not override patents. We do not reproduce logos. We clarify unclear rights before work starts.
Does it last as long as the original?
We assess how the clip mounts, its deflection and conditions at the mounting point. Tell us what broke and how the part was used. A trial part helps check fit; durability in use needs separate assessment.
Can I match the color to the interior?
We dye in-depth starting from 20 parts. For a single clip, it will be cheaper to paint it.
How long does it take?
We first assess the sample and required measurements, then confirm modelling timing. Shared-build printing from a ready model takes 10–14 business days from order confirmation. Fit checks, adjustments and timing for the complete set are agreed separately.
