PA12 specimen mass gain in hydraulic oil after 24 h

What powder sintering offers

The manufacturer immersed a printed 1 × 1 × 1 cm cube for 24 h. In isooctane, also called gasoline in the TDS, mass gain was <0.1%. These results do not establish lifetime, sealing or part strength in a specific oil or fuel.

What this process cannot do here

No fine print

  • We do not accept parts for braking, steering or load-bearing hitch components.
  • We do not manufacture parts subjected to hydraulic pressure: fittings, valve bodies, hoses.
  • We do not substitute steel. Any part that originally transmitted torque or structural load remains metallic. We will inform you of this during the quote.
  • We do not issue homologation documents. Parts for machinery operating on public roads require a certification path we do not provide.
  • We do not reproduce logos or manufacturer markings. We copy only dimensions and shape.
  • We do not make parts near an exhaust manifold. PA12 specimen HDT of 87 °C at 1.8 MPa is not a part service-temperature rating; tell us the temperature at the part and exposure duration.

How your project moves forward

  1. Photos or the partSend the part or photos with a ruler, including its mounting location. We will identify required measurements.
  2. Function assessmentDescribe what the part covers or guides. We assess the conditions and scope we can accept.
  3. Geometry reconstructionModelling, scanning and critical dimensions are agreed before work. This stage is quoted separately.
  4. Trial part and seriesTrial-part scope is agreed in the quote. Confirm the series after checking fit on the machine.

What the quotation covers

Geometry reconstruction and printing are quoted separately. Repeat printing has no preparation fee when the same prepared model remains available. We check this before confirming the quote.

What to prepare for a quote

  • Sample and measurements

Machine model, photos of the part and mount with a ruler, or a drawing. Mark worn surfaces, datums, units and mating-component dimensions.

  • Function and exposure

What the part covers or guides, mounting, vibration and load. Name oils and cleaning agents, temperature and contact duration; describe dust and sun exposure.

  • Fit check and quantity

Required clearances and tolerances, quantities and date. State how you will check a trial part on the machine; modelling and trial scope are agreed in the quote.

Send what you have. We will clarify the remaining details when reviewing your enquiry.

How to order

I have a 3D model

Upload your model and choose the parameters. SLS and FDM prices are indicative; an engineer quotes SLA.

Frequently asked questions

I have no documentation. Is it possible?

Send the part, photos with a ruler and its mounting location. A cracked sample helps assess shape; missing or worn surfaces may require measuring the mating component. Modelling scope and cost are agreed before work.

Will the printed part withstand field conditions?

We assess non-load-bearing parts against their function, load and operating conditions. We do not declare UV resistance or a longer life than the original. For continuous sun exposure, start with a trial part. We do not replace structural steel components with polyamide.

How many units do we need to order?

You can order one part. The SLS B2B minimum is PLN 299.00 net; new-file preparation is PLN 150.00 net. Geometry reconstruction is quoted separately. We agree spare quantities with you.

Is this legal for parts with the manufacturer's logo?

Reproduction depends on rights in the part. The repair clause concerns certain design rights; it is not a general licence to copy and does not override patents. We do not reproduce logos. We clarify unclear rights before work starts.

Does the TDS confirm compatibility with my oil or fuel?

State the medium name, concentration, temperature and contact duration. The 24-hour specimen mass-gain test does not cover every mixture or finished-part behaviour. Assessment and any contact-test scope are agreed before making the part.

How do we reconstruct a worn surface dimension?

A scan also records wear. We establish the target dimension from a drawing, an intact part or measurements of the mating hole and mount. Specify datums and clearances; after the fit check, confirm the geometry for further printing.
