PA12 specimen mass gain in isooctane after 24 h
Why SLS for this part
A 1 × 1 × 1 cm cube was immersed for 24 h; the TDS also calls isooctane gasoline. Heavy mineral oil gave 0.7% mass gain. Specimen data do not confirm clip lifetime or compatibility with every fuel and oil.

No fine print
- We do not make braking, steering or suspension components, including urgent repairs.
- We do not make fuel system components under pressure or anything inside the tank.
- We do not make parts near the exhaust. PA12 specimen HDT of 87 °C at 1.8 MPa describes a deflection test; motorcycle operating temperature and duration require separate assessment.
- We reconstruct geometry without logos, catalogue numbers or manufacturer markings. Confirm the mounting method on a trial part.
- We do not sell parts as originals or homologated replacements.
- We do not declare UV resistance or service life. State sun exposure; test scope and the inspection method are agreed individually.
How your project moves forward
- Photos or the partInclude photos of the sample and mount with a ruler. We will identify any missing dimensions with you.
- Application assessmentState function, mounting and operating conditions. We will confirm whether we accept the part.
- Model and fit checkModelling and trial-part scope are quoted separately. Check the mount on the motorcycle.
- Confirmed quantityChoose quantities after the fit check. Geometry changes and further printing require agreement.
What the quotation covers
Private customers have no minimum order or automatic price. Geometry reconstruction and printing are quoted separately; the ranges below cover model preparation.

3D Scanning · EinScan Rigil
We measure worn parts instead of guessing
Photographs with a ruler help assess scope. Simple dimensions can be measured manually; we consider scanning for free-form surfaces. Wear is recorded as the part's condition; reconstruction dimensions are agreed separately.
- Laser HD specification, 100 mm part
- 0.046 mm
- Scan and Mesh, from
- PLN 250.00
Manufacturer's Laser HD data; not a measurement of your part or a printed-part tolerance.
What remains with you
- MeshRecords accessible surfaces in their current condition, including wear. A mesh can be edited, but has no operation history or dimensions from a parametric CAD model.
- Solid modelReconstructs geometry using scans, measurements and available documentation. We agree critical dimensions and assumptions; a parametric model is created where possible.
- Deviation reportComparison with supplied CAD: a deviation map on scanned surfaces and agreed sections. We agree inspection scope and alignment datums before work; unseen areas remain outside measurement.
What to prepare for a quote
Sample and mount
Motorcycle model and year, photos of the part and mount with a ruler. Include an intact sample or fragments; mark datums, spacing, clearances and the mating component.
Function and conditions
Describe what the part holds or covers, required flex and vibration. State temperature at the part, exposure duration, sunlight and contact with a specific oil or fuel.
Fit check and finish
Quantity, date and expected surface. Agree how to check a trial part. Braking, steering and suspension parts remain outside scope; colour is confirmed in the quote.
Send what you have. We will clarify the remaining details when reviewing your enquiry.
How to order
I need a model
Attach photos with a ruler or a drawing. Describe the application; model preparation is quoted separately.
Send photos and a descriptionI have a 3D model
Upload your model and choose the parameters. SLS and FDM prices are indicative; an engineer quotes SLA.
Quote the part from a modelFrequently asked questions
I have one whole clip and three broken ones. Is that enough?
The intact clip and broken fragments are a useful starting point. Include photos of the mount and mating hole or component. We identify dimensions requiring measurement; thickness and clearance changes are agreed before printing.
Will it be stronger than the original?
We do not declare higher strength without comparison in your conditions. Lifetime depends on geometry, vibration, mounting force and exposure. Possible corner or thickness changes are agreed with you; check a trial part before ordering more.
Is it allowed to copy a part from the manufacturer?
Reproduction depends on rights in the part. The repair clause concerns certain design rights; it is not a general licence to copy and does not override patents. We do not reproduce logos. We clarify unclear rights before work starts.
In what color?
PA12 has a natural grey surface. Dyeing starts at 20 parts with an individual quote. Available colour and timing are confirmed for the job; shade is agreed on a physical sample. Dyeing does not guarantee abrasion resistance.
Can PA12 replace a rubber grommet?
PA12 is a rigid plastic. A grommet requiring flex, sealing or vibration isolation needs function assessment and a different material or ready-made part. Send a sample and describe the mount; a rigid copy is not an automatic rubber replacement.
Do you make parts exposed to fuel?
We do not make parts inside a fuel tank or a pressurised fuel system. For other parts, state medium, temperature and contact duration. A 24-hour immersion test of a PA12 cube does not confirm finished-part sealing or lifetime.
