Grey Resin V5
Matte grey for assessing shape and fit.
Grey V5 is used for design models, size mock-ups and assembly prototypes. Its matte colour helps reveal edges and fine features. We agree fitted surfaces and support contact areas during quotation.

Typical applications
353 × 196 × 350 mm
- Design models and scale mockups
- Form-and-fit prototypes before series production with sintering
- Presentation models with fine detail
- Single-use measurements and fixtures
Supports and orientation are selected for the geometry. Support removal may leave marks, so specify viewing surfaces and critical fits in your enquiry.
Selecting for an application
+ Material features
- Matte colour helps with geometry assessment and model photography.
- Stiffness suited to size mock-ups.
- A material for checking part arrangement before selecting a production process.
- The model surface can be prepared for painting with an agreed finishing process.
− What needs assessment
- Specify fits in a drawing or brief; post-curing and support removal affect finished dimensions.
- Specimen impact strength does not guarantee drop resistance. Compare materials using matching test methods.
- Grey V5 is opaque. Consider Clear V5 with an appropriate finish for internal viewing.

Scroll the table sideways to see the remaining columns.
| Property | Value | Test standard |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile Strength | 62 MPa | ASTM D638-14 |
| Modulus of Elasticity in Tension | 2 675 MPa | ASTM D638-14 |
| Elongation at Break | 13% | ASTM D638-14 |
| Flexural Strength | 103 MPa | ASTM D790-15 |
| Flexural Modulus | 2 750 MPa | ASTM D790-15 |
| Izod Impact Strength | 32 J/m | ASTM D4812-11 |
Test preparation: Manufacturer's test specimens: Form 4, 100 µm layers; 5 min wash in Form Wash, IPA ≥99%; 15 min post-cure at 60 °C in Form Cure. Production settings for Form 4L are agreed separately.
Thermal properties
Heat deflection testing
Scroll the table sideways to see the remaining columns.
| Property | Value | Test standard |
|---|---|---|
| HDT at 1.8 MPa | 59 °C | ASTM D648-16 |
| HDT at 0.45 MPa | 71 °C | ASTM D648-16 |
These values describe specimens post-cured under the conditions beside the table. Curing changes properties; not every value increases. HDT describes specimen deflection under the stated load. We assess part operating temperature with its geometry, load and exposure time.
